ACX And Audio Books

Just like any other business, you will need to invest in the proper tools. The list below is what I recommend for setting up your home studio. I have NO AFFILIATE status with the companies below nor do I make a penny if you purchase them. I recommend this equipment as they are used by Professional Recording Studios World Wide and I own them and use them as well.

I DO NOT recommend using Audacity for ACX work. Yes I know they may recommend it, but it is my opinion the only reason is that it is free. You can click here and read hundreds of posts from Audacity users along with the thousands of replies, from Audacity’s official forum, that can not meet the ACX requirements.

Not only do I teach other the correct procedure for meeting the ACX requirements, I am also an active narrator for the ACX as well as a Producer. So, you can try it on your own, use Audacity and take your chances or you can follow my simple advice and move on quickly with your narration career.
