Headphones

Mastering is the final step of audio post-production. So what is the purpose? Think of mastering as the glue, varnish and polish that optimizes playback quality on all devices from tiny iPhone speakers to massive dance club sound systems. If you are doing work for the ACX, you must know how to meet their requirements!

Headphones

Hi,
--I'm not sure if this topic goes here, so feel free to stick it where it belongs if not.
I was at a thrift store today and saw a pair of headphones behind the glass case. I tried to look it up on my tablet, but wasn't sure if I understood it all. So I bought them (they were $10), and decided if they weren't what I needed, I could return them.
Would these be a pair you think would benefit me for either use on a conference call (if we ever progress to that), or just playback when I edit my audio? I know headphones are important.

it's Oblanc Model OG-AUD63042.https://www.amazon.com/Syba-Headphone-l ... merReviews

Let me know if I should return them! Thanks!

Hey, they should be just fine. Headphones are great for mixing and mastering speech as well as music, if your listening area is not treated properly. Great find!

Great!
Do you think they'll even be good for doing work on ACX?

They should. I can not find any specs on them, but I think they will do just fine. Check out this post for more information on mixing with headphones.
