Hello There,
I'm Adrienne. I am beginning to branch out to audio book voice over. My previous projects for narration were successful, but this is the first time managing ACX specs. I'm using a Mac OS 10.10.5. I want to use the ACX check and other plugin for a file chain with version 2.1.3. The easy drop and play plugin are designed for newer versions of Audacity. Where do I start with getting the proper plugin for my current equipment?
Thank you,
Adrienne Moreland

Good morning and welcome! I use Reaper for my DAW. If you are going to use Audacity 2.1.3 then it is going to be hard for you to find the old plugins for that version. At this time they are distributing 2.3 and also have a 2.3.1 beta available. If you are going to stay with Audacity, then I highly recommend that you upgrade to their latest version.

Just so you know, I have 0 experience with macs. As far as recording goes, it mostly boils down to three things.

1. Recording environment.
2. Mic placement.
3. Input level.

If you skip any of the above requirements, you will be fighting an uphill battle when it comes to the ACX.
