Okay, I downloaded Reaper. Wow, that was SO easy!
Turns out I have the 64-bit.
Now it is asking for license key.

You can use Reaper free for 60 days. After their nag screen times out, just click on the button that starts the program. Make sure you also download the SWS extension pack for Reaper as well. Once you download it, just click on the file and it will find Reaper and install its self. I will be back in town on Monday and I will do a video on the basic steps. The first thing is simply adjusting the input signal. Once you learn how to do that, you are 90% finished!

Hi, I've been working at your tutorial about Reaper and following along. You're instructions are pretty easy to follow!
One of my problems is that I try to plug in and turn on the Alesis in the proper order, but when it comes to the part in the video where meters and levels and yellow and green colors are appearing and moving, mine is dead looking. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...
FYI- my knobs are turned at 3:00/12:00/12:00 and I clicked arm the track and Monitor Input.

Is this the type of thing you want conference call on? Whatever we need to work on via that way, I should be available this week.
Thanks.

It sounds like you do not have the setting correct to tell Reaper to look for your device. Also, try checking the buttons on the mixer and make sure the one that says "2trks/usb to main" is depressed. Just let me know the time and this week should be fine. Keep in mind we are having heavy rains and by the end of the week, we will be looking at the hurricane. We are already experiencing flooding.

Tomorrow afternoon or evening would be a great time, or possibly Wed. afternoon.
For starters, how does 2:00 tomorrow (Tues.) afternoon sound? We live in the same time zone, I believe.
I've never done a conference call, so I don't know how this works...
Yikes, I hope your equipment makes it through alright!! (As well as you and yours!)

two o'clock will be fine and yes, we are in the same time zone. Make sure you watch the video below. You will use your usb mic and headphones for your mic and speakers. It is a real simple process.

Cool, if for some reason you have a problem getting your audio set up, we can always use the chat feature to walk you through it. See you soon.

That seems very odd! Can you give me some more information? Did you record this file and export it as a wav? Did you download this file from the www? Did you check the properties of this file? Have you tried to import any other audio file format? Are you using the import feature in Reaper or did you drag and drop the audio file?
