Learning Ally

Learning Ally has impacted the lives of millions of students over the last 70 years. We are a national non-profit dedicated to helping students with print disabilities, including blindness, visual impairment and dyslexia. Learning Ally improves the way students learn at home and in the classroom. Up to 1 in 5 students has a learning difference. That means 10 million students in grades K-12 alone are struggling to read the printed word. Together it’s possible to help these students succeed in school, feel more confident, and stay on a positive path for years to come.

We help children with reading-related learning disabilities and visual impairments reach their full potential. We firmly believe that far too many children with reading disabilities like dyslexia go either unidentified or receive ineffective assistance. Without proper help, many of these children will needlessly struggle in school and be poorly positioned for success as adults.

We are about changing that. By working together with parents, educators, and specialists, we can help raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia and other reading disabilities. Much can be done to help dyslexics learn to read proficiently and to leverage audio-books and other aids to enrich and improve their learning … in turn building their self-confidence and self-image.

By sharing these best practices with parents and educators, by connecting them to each other and to effective resources, and then by helping them advocate effectively for those services, we create an environment where these children can thrive.

We support the efforts of Learning Ally 100%. If you have never felt the satisfaction of being a part of an organization whose sole purpose is to help children as well as adults succeed in furthering their education, I promise, you do not know what your missing! You do not have to invest thousands of dollars to record professional voice recordings, but you do need to know what equipment you will need and how to properly use it. I teach people how to combine the ATR 2100 Dynamic mic with Reaper DAW, (Digital Audio Workstation). Total cost $125.00 as of January 9th, 2018. The audio you see on the right was recorded using this same system. If you would like to receive one on one instructions on how to record professional audio, please click here for more information.

So why is my heart burning for this organization? Simple, they hit home. My home. My beautiful wife of 32 years had a hard time reading. Everything was backwards. They called her stupid back in 1950. She was ridiculed. She was called an idiot. I promise you nothing could be further from the truth! They did not even know about this thing called Dyslexia. My wife now works for one of the wealthiest families in the county we live in. She is their right hand woman. She has 100% complete control. She only answers to one person, the owner.  She is the smartest woman I have ever met! You can help other children/adults bypass this stigma. Please get involved today.
